The families of each of the 48 farmers killed by Boko Haram on rice farms in Borno State have received N600,000 each from the Borno State government.
They also received food parcels from a committee appointed by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum to distribute relief items.
The money came from the Northern Governors Association, which contributed N20m, while the North East Development Commission (NEDC) contributed N5.
The committee, headed by the commissioner of youth and sports, Saina Buba, distributed the funds on Thursday in Zabarmari.
